About the TAS16 - The TAS16 Load Indicator is a family of next generation indicators designed and manufactured for tension and compression testing. The TAS16 Series family features higher resolution, greater accuracy, faster sampling rates, increased storage capability and a simpler design for greater reliability and ease-of-use.

Standard Features:

Options:

  • Indicate Live Load, Peak Load, Live Stress, Peak Stress, Load Rate and Stress Rate.

  • Select between engineering units of Lb, N, KN and Kg.

  • Store up to 1,000 test results to permanent memory.  Results include Date, Time, Specimen ID#, Area, Peak Load, Peak Stress plus a statistical summary of Peak Load and Stress.

  • Generate a hardcopy printout of the results on a 9-pin, 24-pin or laser printer.

  • Store up to six load cell calibrations for multiple load cell systems.  The load calibration algorithm allows up to 10 calibration points per cell with piecewise linear fit between points. Accuracy exceeds ASTM E4 Standards and in general is greater than 0.5% from 1% of full scale to full scale.
  • Activate Auto-Store to automatically store the results of each test.

  • Activate Auto-Print to automatically print the results of each test.

  • Define and detect the end of test with the Sample Break
    Detector.

  • Connect to full bridge strain gage and high level output analog transducers.

  • Download stored test results to a remote computer through the RS-232 port. The data format on the receiving computer is in ASCII delimited format for easy import into many common spreadsheet and database programs such as Lotus 1-2-3 and Microsoft Excel.

  • Generate a real-time Load vs. Time or Stress vs. Time curve on an XY Recorder

  • Print a Load vs. Time or Stress vs. Time curve on an Epson LQ compatible printer.

  • Verify your calibration at any time with the automatic shunt calibration check.

  • Input specimen dimensions automatically and accurately with an electronic gage.

Test Reports & X-Y Plots - The DC16 produces a variety of test reports and X-Y plots on an EPSON LQ compatible printer. An optional PC Communications Package is available to transfer the test results to a remote PC in ASCII delimited format for easy import into many common spreadsheet and data base programs. The reports and plots can be from a single test or from a group of like tests. A statistical summary for each calculated test parameter is provided on test reports where three or more samples are tested. Shown is a sample plot.
